House rules

I take a stand. Every post ends with a clear conclusion — what I'd pick, who screwed up. No wishy-washy "it depends, everyone has their pros and cons" endings.

I call things out, no matter who's involved. A vendor quietly cutting quotas, raising prices without saying so, or spinning marketing nonsense gets called out — including the companies I personally pay for.

Opinion and fact stay separate. Every number comes with a verification date and a source link. Community reports are labeled as community reports, not treated as official figures. By the end of a post, you should be able to tell which line is my opinion and which is a fact you can check yourself.

One judge for model capability. When I state "model X is stronger" as a fact, the basis is always the Artificial Analysis index. Vendor self-claims and community sentiment get labeled as opinion.

If I can't find it, I say so. If a claim sounds plausible but I can't track down a reliable source, I'll say so right in the post — "I'm not writing this in, because I couldn't verify it" — instead of making something up.

Languages

Every post comes in six versions: 繁體中文, English, 简体中文, 日本語, 한국어, Español. Traditional Chinese is the original; the other five are translations, each reviewed by a native speaker before and after translation. Use the 🌐 in the top-right corner to switch anytime — it works across the whole site.

The tech

This site is a static build written in Go's standard library — no framework, no database — hosted on S3 and CloudFront. The pipeline is simple: markdown goes in, HTML comes out.

This site runs Google AdSense ads. Ads don't influence what I write or the conclusion of any review — if a vendor ever pays me to write something, I'll say so right at the top of the post.
